Ties are common when players hold the same ranks, or when the best five-card hand is on the board itself. Suits never break a tie in Hold’em. Each winning player receives an equal share, and any odd chip left over is awarded according to the room’s rules.
Example: You hold A♠ 9♦ and your opponent holds A♣ 9♥ on K♦ Q♣ 7♠ 4♥ 2♦. Both make A-K-Q-9-7, so the pot is split.
