Bad beats feel personal, but they are simply variance at work. If you get your chips in as an 80% favourite, you will still lose about one time in five. Judge your play by the decision you made when the chips went in, not by the final card, and take a break if a beat starts to affect you.
Example: You hold A♠ A♦ against 9♣ 9♥ all-in before the flop. The board runs K♠ 7♦ 2♣ 9♠ 4♥ and the nines win with a set.
