Charts use a 13×13 grid: pocket pairs run along the diagonal, with suited hands on one side and offsuit hands on the other. They give newer players a reliable starting point and stop them playing too many hands. Treat a chart as a guide, then adjust for stack sizes, opponents and table dynamics.
Example: A typical button chart includes hands like K♦ 7♦ and Q♣ 9♥, while an under-the-gun chart for the same table folds them.
