Rainbow flops remove flush draws, which makes them less dynamic. Only backdoor flush draws exist until the turn. Combined with unconnected ranks, a rainbow flop is usually a dry board, which often suits small continuation bets from the preflop raiser.
Example: K♠ 7♦ 2♣ is a rainbow flop: one spade, one diamond and one club.
