Quick answer
Diamonds are a ClubGG in-app item mainly used by club and union admins. ClubGG’s help centre says they pay for Data Report Exports and for memberships or other rewards granted to club players. A nickname change costs 5,000 Diamonds for WSOP+ Premium subscribers. Diamonds are bought through Google Play, the App Store or by card on PC and Mac.

What Diamonds are used for
- Data Report Export: downloading your club’s records, which matters before removing players or disbanding a club.
- Memberships and rewards: club and union admins can buy memberships or other rewards and grant them to players, for example through the Send Membership option on a member’s page.
- Nickname changes: each change costs 5,000 Diamonds and needs an active WSOP+ Premium subscription (formerly called Platinum).
Do players need Diamonds?
Most players never need them. Joining clubs and playing at their tables doesn’t require Diamonds, and an older ClubGG support article noted they aren’t needed to open tables either. Diamonds mainly matter if you run a club or union, or want to change your nickname.
If you’re a club owner, think of Diamonds as an admin budget. Exports protect your records, and granting a membership is one way to thank active members, but neither is required to keep a club running.
How Diamonds are bought
ClubGG says it doesn’t accept crypto or any other payment method. Prices can vary by store and region, so check the in-app store if you need them.
- Android: through Google Play.
- iPhone and iPad: through the App Store.
- PC and Mac: by credit card.
Chips and tickets have no cash value
ClubGG’s terms say tournament tickets have no monetary value, can’t be exchanged for anything of value and can’t be used as a medium of exchange. Its Media Guideline describes ClubGG as using play money with no monetary value. Club chips are part of a club’s data and are deleted if the club is disbanded.
The chat policy bans selling tournament tickets for cash. Be wary of anyone offering to sell you Diamonds, chips or tickets outside the official stores.
Before you buy
- Check you actually need a feature that costs Diamonds; many club owners only need an occasional export.
- Buy only through the official app stores or the desktop client.
- Set a spending limit for yourself, as you would with any in-app purchase.
- Remember that a nickname change also needs an active WSOP+ Premium subscription, so Diamonds alone aren’t enough.
