How to play 76s by position
6-max cash game, around 100 big blinds deep.
- Early position (UTG)
- Fold. Out of position against several players, seven-six struggles to realise its equity.
- Middle position (hijack)
- Fold in most games, or open-raise at a loose, passive table.
- Late position (cutoff, button)
- Open-raise from the cutoff and button. Position lets you play draws and win pots when others miss.
- Blinds
- Raise when folded to; call against late opens with deep stacks.
- Facing a raise
- Call in position with deep stacks. Fold to 3-bets.
After the flop
- Suited hands flop a flush draw about 10.9% of the time.
- Seven-six makes well-disguised straights.
- Avoid big pots with one pair.

Seven-six suited FAQ
Is 76s a good hand?
It is a good hand to play in position with deep stacks, because its straights and flushes are well disguised. Out of position or short-stacked, it is usually a fold.
Why does 76s do better against AA than against 99?
Mostly card removal. Pocket nines take away two of the cards seven-six needs for straights such as 5-6-7-8-9, while pocket aces remove cards it rarely needs.
How do I play 76s with a short stack in a tournament?
With 15bb or less, push from late position when folded to you.
